Hospitality
The Hospitality Ministry is in place to insure that everyone at the Worthington UPC knows they are welcome. We endeavor to make every visit to the Worthington UPC enjoyable. It is our hope that everyone, guests and members alike, feel the warmth and care of our staff. This is accomplished through a three-fold Hospitality Ministry. These three teams are Guest Follow-up, Ushers/Greeters, and Hostesses.
Guest Follow-up
The Worthington UPC endeavors, through Guest Follow-up, to show each person that attends our services they are important to us. The Guest Follow-up ministry attempts to visit or call each person that has attended a church service, using the name, address, and phone numbers acquired by the hostesses.
Ushers
The Worthington UPC’s ushers serve as doorkeepers during all services and special events.
Ushers will warmly welcome you with outstretched hand and a smile, seat you in a comfortable, accessible seat; introduce you to the person with whom you are seated, and invite you to return to the Worthington UPC.
If you are a visitor to the Worthington UPC--or part of the Worthington UPC family--please feel free to ask for assistance from any usher. We would be happy to answer your questions or assist you whenever possible!
Hostess
Hostesses are among the first contacts a guest will make when entering the Worthington UPC. Members of this Hospitality Team strive to create an atmosphere of genuine love, concern, and care while establishing a positive relationship with guests.
When you come to Worthington UPC a hostess will obtain your name, address, and phone number, which will be used by the Guest Follow-Up ministry. The hostess will greet you, help you locate Sunday school rooms, nursery, bathrooms, and connect you with family or friends. The Hostess Department works in conjunction with the Usher Department to seat guests and attend to any special needs.
The hostesses are available to pray with you and answer any questions you may have. As you leave, it is the goal of each hostess to once again acknowledge you and extend a personal invitation to return to future services or special events.
If you are a visitor to the Worthington UPC--or part of the Worthington UPC family--please feel free to ask for assistance from any hostess. We would be happy to answer your questions or assist you whenever possible!
